There is no single price, but there is a clear list of things that move the number. Get to know that list and you can budget properly — and spot a quote that is too good to be true.
A cool room is priced from its parts: the insulated panels that form the walls, ceiling and often the floor, the door, the trims that seal it, and the refrigeration and electrical work that make it cold. Change the size or the temperature and the price changes with it.

What actually drives the price
These factors move a cool room quote the most, roughly in order of impact:

Why there is no flat per-square-metre price
Plenty of sites will quote a single dollar-per-square-metre figure. The problem is that panel and accessory rates move with material costs, and no two rooms are the same once you factor in temperature, core, thickness, door and floor. A flat rate either overcharges a simple chiller or under-specs a freezer. The right way to price a cool room is to size the exact panel count first, then quote at current rates.
